I am so sorry you're still not having a good experience with this guy. I think it is absolutely time to try another doctor. Especially when you're going through something as emotionally draining as you are, you need to have faith in your doctor, and trust him/her. I wish I knew how to help you.

Is it that your plan only covers certain ones, or that it would be difficult to switch, or that it would take a long time to switch, or that you don't know who to go to? Sorry - I'm just not sure how this works for an oncologist.

Also - I am so sad to hear about your lymph node. Please let me know how things progress with finding a new doctor, and what happens!

Funny enough -- one of my first memories as a kid was coming downstairs to the kitchen and Uncle Jo Jo cooking chicken cutlets with an apron on...and nothing else. Sick.

I've really enjoyed reading your blog, Sarah! Thanks for all you're doing. I wanted to tell you that this past summer I was unexpectedly diagnosed with melanoma. I did not need to go through chemo, as the melanoma was very thin, but did have surgery to excise the cancerous area. I now see a dermatologist every 3 months and do monthly self-checks of my skin because melanoma is so notorious for reoccurring. I want you to know that you have been inspiring to me on my journey with what you have gone through. Thank you! I wish I knew how to reach out to more people to help prevent cancer and support those who have it. Thanks for being so strong! Miss you! -Julie
